i mean, i'm a bit ambivalent about it, because i hate the "party of lincoln!" crap some republicans pull to prove their party is the real true holy forever advocate of civil rights. it's just disingenuous to ignore the major shift in party lines since--fdr, lbj, "southern strategy," etc. but it doesn't seem fair to cherrypick lincoln like that when he isn't here to object.
